ENCO'S Philosophy
ENCO strives to achieve and maintain leadership in the field of design and programme and project management, by engaging personnel of the highest calibre who are recognised experts in their technical fields and employing, through proven proprietary systems, the latest project delivery techniques.
ENCO's Project Management philosophy embraces a holistic view rather than a narrow elaboration of techniques and tools. A fine balance is maintained between management science and human behavioural science. The former discipline emphasises the "hard" quantitative aspects of economic variables, whilst the latter discipline focuses on the "soft" qualitative aspects of human behaviour, skills, attitudes and system organisation.
ENCO emphasizes the importance of the relationship between client and supplier, in the delivery of multi-functional, complex, long-lead mining projects. We believe that these relationships are paramount to achieving project success and strive to develop the critical elements of trust, respect and tolerance between the parties that is required to encourage team-building and alignment between stakeholders.
ENCO views designs as a science based problem-solving activity with socio-human awareness. The first important step to address is a formal problem statement that will identify the functional constraints, then the equally important economic implications, human behavioural aspects, environmental impacts and most importantly the safety considerations.
